Job summary

Kids Dental Place & Orthodontics in Van Nuys, CA is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to provide efficient, high-quality care. This role reports to the Lead Orthodontic Assistant and offers generous pay with monthly bonus opportunities along with PTO, holidays, and full benefits.

Salary pay range is $18-$26/hr. The position focuses on patient records, radiographs, charting, patient education, instrument sterilization, and maintaining a clean, welcoming practice for underserved children.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents.
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
• Experience working in a dental office is preferred.
• Current BLS CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Collect and document clear, concise, and accurate patient records.
• Obtain radiographs (periapicals, bitewings, panoramic) as requested by the dentist.
• Write accurate chart notes matching services performed.
• Educate patients and parents on good oral health and build friendly relationships.
• Sterilize dental instruments and keep workstations OSHA-compliant.
• Keep the practice clean and presentable (restrooms, lobby, floors).
• Support the mission by contributing to high-quality, compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services for underserved children.

Kids Dental Place & Orthodontics in Van Nuys, CA is currently seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to provide efficient, high-quality care to our patients. This position will report to the Lead Orthodontic Assistant.

Pay range: $18-$26/hr

Job Responsibilities

• Collect and document clear, concise, and accurate patient records
• Obtain quality dental radiographs (periapicals, bitewings, panoramic) as requested by the dentist
• Write accurate and consistent notes, ensuring chart notes match services completed
• Create a friendly relationship with patients and parents as well as educating them on good oral health
• Organize and sterilizing dental instruments and workstations per OSHA standards
• Ensure practice is clean and presentable to patients to include cleaning restrooms, patient lobby, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, etc.
• Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children

Job Qualifications

• Radiology education and training that meets state requirements
• Strong interpersonal skills, including a friendly outgoing demeanor and the ability to actively listen to patients and parents
• Ability to multi-task and complete dental tasks correctly and in a timely manner
• Knowledge of e-Clinical Works (eCW) a plus
• Previous experience working in a dental office preferred
• Current BLS CPR certification
