Job summary

Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, LLC is seeking a part-time Surgical Technologist/Surgical Assistant to support surgeons in the operating room. You will assist with perioperative patient care, prepare the sterile field, and ensure equipment and supplies are ready for procedures.

The role also involves post-operative tasks and collaboration with RN staff to maintain safety and efficiency. This position offers a flexible schedule (30 hours/week) with consideration for full-time if needed, and

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program or equivalent on-the-job training and orthopedic surgery experience.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 1 year orthopedic experience; 2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during operations and surgical procedures.
• Provide pre- and post-operative patient care and orient new team members.
• Set up equipment and supplies, maintain sterile technique, and prep specimens.
• Circulate under RN direction and communicate patient status clearly.
• Collaborate with nurses and anesthesia team to support safe, efficient care.
