Job summary

The Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, LLC is seeking a Surgical Technologist/Surgical Assistant to join our operating room team. The role provides support to surgeons during procedures and performs pre- and post-operative patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician.

This PRN (as needed) position requires graduation from an accredited surgical technology program, 2 years’ experience, and BLS certification within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of surgical technology experience.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during operations and provide pre- and post-operative patient care.
• Set up and maintain sterile fields and operating room equipment.
• Communicate patient information accurately to the RN and surgical team.
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to aseptic techniques throughout procedures.
