Job summary

Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, LLC in Illinois seeks a Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons during operations, provide pre- and post-operative patient care, and maintain the sterile operating room environment under RN direction.

This part-time role (approximately 30 hours per week) may become full-time; the position emphasizes teamwork with orthopedic specialists, precise instrument handling, and reliable documentation to support safe, efficient procedures.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Surgical Technology Program.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 1 year orthopedic experience; 2 years preferred.
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical procedures.
• Ability to work under supervision and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons during operations and procedures.
• Maintain sterile environment and prepare equipment.
• Position and transport patients as needed.
• Record patient information accurately.
• Collaborate with RN and anesthesia team.
