Job summary

Texas Health Denton is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist to join the Main OR team. The role supports perioperative care across infant to geriatric patients, with day shift hours 7:00am–7:00pm and required call.

Minimum qualifications include graduation from an accredited surgical technology program, CST certification, and BCLS; LVN on hire is acceptable in some cases. Join a team-focused environment with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; prior practice in healthcare facility before Sep 1, 2009 preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program or equivalent.
• 1 year OR experience preferred.
• CST certification (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) required; or equivalent military training in surgical technology.
• LVN upon hire and BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Intra-operatively displays skills and behavior conducive to desirable outcome.
• Assist in peri-operative nursing care planning and patient care.
• Preoperatively assists RN circulator in planning care.
• Coordinate patient care peri-operatively under supervision.
• Post-operatively helps with instrument care and post-op duties.
