Job summary

Premier Orthopaedics in partnership with Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder is seeking a Surgery Scheduler I to join our East Norriton, PA team. The role coordinates office and hospital-based procedures, secures anesthesia, and liaises with PCPs and device reps to ensure smooth surgical scheduling.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of medical scheduling experience, knowledge of insurance rules, and EMR proficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; medical scheduling experience preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance rules and medical terminology is essential.
• Proficiency with EMR scheduling systems, Allscripts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule office and hospital-based procedures with correct codes.
• Coordinate with PCP offices, device reps, and surgical teams.
• Enter notes/instructions into EMR and update as needed.
• Call patients to schedule surgery and pre/post-op appointments.
• Obtain pre-surgical clearances and manage communications to patients.
