Job summary

NTO Physician Partners PLLC in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a detail-oriented scheduler with experience in coordinating surgical procedures and securing insurance pre-authorizations. The role requires proficiency with EMR systems and strong patient-service skills.

Primary duties include managing MD calendars, coordinating with hospitals/ASC, and ensuring accurate patient communication and documentation. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with Centricity/Phoenix EMR is a plus.
• MUST be proficient in obtaining insurance prior-authorizations.
• MUST have 1 year of direct surgery scheduling experience.
• Computer literate with strong keyboard skills and EMR experience.
• Background in medical terminology and Orthopedics/Spine preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Answers the telephone and directs calls to the appropriate person.
• Schedules surgical appointments and coordinates with hospitals/ASC.
• Maintains MDs calendar and coordinates with anesthesia and hardware reps.
• Verifies insurance coverage and obtains precertifications for surgeries.
• Communicates financial responsibilities to patients and documents in EMR.
• Pre-authorizes services and assists with referrals and scheduling.
