Responsibilities

• Interacts with hospital staff to schedule patient procedures.
• Coordinates scheduling with physician, patient, surgery area, and pre-admission testing.
• Notifies supervisor of scheduling issues and negotiates changes as needed.
• Enter referrals into Epic and schedule services per physician orders.
• Assist with scheduling new patient consults and follow-up appointments.
• Provide phone triage when not scheduling surgeries.
• Work with payers and government entities for prior authorizations or appeals.
