Job summary

Stormont Vail Health in Topeka, KS is hiring a Surgery Scheduler for the Ortho & Sports Medicine Clinic. You will coordinate surgical schedules, testing, and pre-admission steps, working with physicians, patients, and hospital teams to ensure smooth inpatient and outpatient procedures.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Windows and Epic scheduling systems. This is a full-time day-shift on-site position in a busy outpatient clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year healthcare experience preferred.
• Experience in a clinical service environment/physician office is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Interacts and supports hospital staff to appropriately schedule patient procedures, communicates issues/problems with appropriate personnel for resolution.
• Coordinates scheduling process with physician, patient, hospital surgery scheduling area, and pre-admission testing.
• Reschedules and cancels patient appointments as requested by patient or physician offices.
• Interacts with Pre-Access regarding patient surgery and sends paperwork to pre-admission testing.
• Instructs patients on prep requirements and arrival directions.
