Job summary

Carle Health is seeking an RN to join NT4, a 41-bed unit with a focus on orthopedics and complex trauma care. The role includes comprehensive nursing care, documentation, and collaboration with physicians in a high-acuity setting.

Qualifications include BLS within 30 days, RN license (IDFPR), and a Nursing Diploma or an Associate’s Degree with RN experience. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is available for external applicants.

• RN with 1+ year of experience

Responsibilities

• Performs unit-specific nursing duties and duties as defined by scope of service.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of nursing care for healthcare team integration.
• Performs initial patient assessment and develops a care plan in line with unit standards and patient needs.
• Implements plan of care, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures.
• Modifies plan of care based on safety observations and incident reporting.
• Communicates with team to resolve issues and provide feedback for professional development.
• Educates ortho and medical/surgical patients on wound care, mobility, self-care, medication management, and transitions.
