Job summary

You will handle patient flow during office hours, assist with exam rooms, collect specimens, process pre-certifications, schedule pre-admission testing, and maintain clear communication across departments to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Medical assisting education completed or equivalent.
• CPR certification maintained.
• Experience in a physician office, preferably orthopedic or surgical.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and staff in coordinating patient care and education.
• Facilitate patient flow, accompany to exam/procedure rooms, and assist with walking and transfers.
• Answer calls, triage, and communicate schedule changes.
• Obtain insurance pre-certification and schedule pre-admission testing.
• Prepare consents, pre-op instructions, and post-op materials.
