Frederick Health Hospital, Inc. is seeking an RN for the Orthopedic/Neurology unit on the day shift (7:00 am–7:30 pm). This full-time position emphasizes independent patient care using the nursing process, with leadership and teaching responsibilities to support quality outcomes.

Requires Maryland RN license, ADN (BSN preferred), CPR/BLS compliance, and ability to work in a dynamic hospital setting. The role includes adherence to standards, patient education and coordination of discharge

Qualifications

• Eligible for or currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Maryland or compact state.
• Associates degree in Nursing required; Bachelors of Science in Nursing preferred or willing to obtain within 5 years of employment.
• CPR certification; BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess biophysical, psychosocial, environmental and discharge planning needs.
• Prioritize treatment and communicate changes in patient status.
• Initiate and document individualized nursing care plans.
• Provide patient/family education and discharge planning integration.
• Demonstrate leadership, mentoring and compliance with policies.
