Job summary

Inova Alexandria Hospital is seeking an RN Unit Supervisor for the Ortho Surgery Unit. This full-time, day shift role features a 12-hour schedule (7am–7pm) and provides leadership to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include leading shift operations, coordinating staffing, ensuring safety and quality, mentoring staff, and advancing Inova's care delivery model. A Virginia RN license, BLS, and 1 year RN experience are required; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required.
• Virginia RN license required.
• 1 year of RN experience required.
• Completion of Inova RN Unit Supervisor and Charge Nurse Training within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift huddles and communicate priorities.
• Ensure safety and quality across the unit.
• Mentor and coach clinical staff.
• Monitor core metrics and implement improvements.
• Coordinate staffing and discharge planning.
