The Inova Alexandria Hospital Ortho Surgery Unit is seeking an RN Unit Supervisor to advanceUnit leadership on a full-time, day-shift basis. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality, reliable patient care and leading a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced orthopedic surgery environment.

Responsibilities include conducting shift huddles, safety rounds, staff engagement, and clinical process improvements while supporting Inova's People Priority and patient experience initiatives.

Qualifications

• RN leadership experience preferred.
• Strong patient‑centered care focus.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of nursing quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift with focus on quality and reliability.
• Facilitate huddles and safety rounds; remove barriers to care.
• Monitor unit metrics and drive improvement actions.
• Mentor and coach nursing staff; support professional development.
• Coordinate with physicians and care teams for smooth patient flow.
• Participate in evaluations and interviewing for new staff.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
