Job summary

Synergy Orthopedic Specialists Medical Group in San Diego is seeking a friendly Medical Assistant to support providers in exam rooms and clinics. You will greet patients, enter vitals and history into the EMR, schedule appointments, and handle referral submissions.

Orthopedic experience is welcome but not required. Current CPR/BLS is required, basic computer skills are needed, and you will assist with procedures, sutures, braces, and room turnover to maintain smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Medical Assistant or ATC experience
• Current CPR/BLS card required
• Basic computer skills are required
• Orthopedic experience is recommended but not required

Responsibilities

• Greet patients with a smile
• Assist the providers with patients in exam rooms
• Enter vitals, history, and other medical information in EMR
• Perform data entry
• Provide patient care as instructed by the provider
• Assist the providers with procedures
• Removal of sutures and/or stitches
• Apply/remove braces and splints
• Stocking and cleaning the exam rooms
• Submit referrals
• Obtain medical records from imaging centers
• Complete orders, forms and send prescriptions
• Scheduling appointments, answer phone and responding to emails
