Job summary

Synergy Orthopedic Specialists Medical Group in San Diego, CA is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our busy orthopedic practice.

You will greet patients, assist providers in exam rooms, document vitals in EMR, schedule visits, and support referrals. Candidates should have MA/ATC experience, CPR/BLS certification, and basic computer skills; orthopedic experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Orthopedic experience is recommended but not required.
• 2+ years of Medical Assistant or ATC experience.
• Current CPR/BLS card required.
• Basic computer skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients with a smile.
• Assist the providers with patients in exam rooms.
• Enter vitals, history, and other medical information in EMR.
• Perform data entry.
• Provide patient care as instructed by the provider.
• Assist the providers with procedures.
• Removal of sutures and/or stitches.
• Apply/remove braces and splints.
• Stocking and cleaning the exam rooms.
• Submit referrals.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by Office Manager.
• Assist the providers with patients in exam rooms.
• Obtain medical records from imaging centers.
• Complete orders, forms and send prescriptions.
• Scheduling appointments, answer phone and responding to emails.
