Job summary

Carle Health in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the NT4 Orthopaedic-Urology Surgical Unit on a 41-bed unit. You will work with RNs and therapists to deliver high-quality, short-stay care in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires an LPN license and BLS certification, with duties including med administration, IVs, wound care, and patient education, along with charting and care planning in coordination with the team.

Qualifications

• LPN license and BLS certification required.
• Experience with wound care, IVs, and post-operative care preferred.
• Ability to document care plans and coordinate with RN staff.

Responsibilities

• Passes all medications, including IV piggybacks and fluids.
• Chart assessments and care plans after RN assessment.
• Coordinate with physicians/APPs for orders and dressing changes.
• Perform trach care as needed and NG tube care.
• Reinforce education and discharge instructions.
