Job summary

Orthopedic Performance Therapy of KC in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to join our outpatient physical therapy center. This full-time role handles front-desk duties, patient greeting, appointment scheduling, and patient checkout. Hours are Monday through Friday, with a shift window from 7am to 6pm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: 1 year front desk experience.
• Healthcare experience and 1 year medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about their visit and next appointment at checkout.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and by phone.
• Regular communication with attorney offices, insurance companies, translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team.
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
