Job summary

CHOICE Healthcare Services in Henderson, NV is seeking a Dental Assistant to support dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, assisting the doctor, taking x-rays, and instructing patients on oral hygiene.

The ideal candidate may have certification from a dental college or 3–6 months related experience; bilingual Spanish preferred. Nevada X-ray certification or affidavit, BLS, and a 4-hour Infection Control certification are required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures.
• Takes x-rays.
• Takes IO's.
• Assists in prophylaxis cleaning of teeth.

• Charts cavities and teeth with doctor.
• Sterilizes instruments.
• Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene.
• Charts treatment plans with doctor.

Dental Assistant

Summary: The Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Nevada dental standards.

• Assists the doctor in procedures
• Takes x-rays
• Takes IO's
• Assist in Prophylaxis cleaning of teeth
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene
• Charts cavities and teeth with doctor
• Sterilizes instruments
• Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene
• Charting of patient's treatment and treatment plan with doctor

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

• Certification from a dental college OR three to six months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred

Required Certificates or Licenses:

• X-Ray Nevada certification or affidavit
• BLS certification
• 4-hour Infection Control certification
