Job summary

Choice Healthcare Services in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Dental Assistant to support pediatric dental care by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments and materials, and by passing instruments during procedures.

You will take x-rays and intraoral photos, assist with prophylaxis, instruct patients on oral hygiene, sterilize instruments, and help chart treatments under the doctor’s supervision.

Qualifications

• Certification from a dental college OR 3-6 months related experience and/or training.
• Arizona X-Ray certification, BLS, Arizona Coronal Polish, Arizona Sealant certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures.
• Takes x-rays.
• Takes IO's.
• Assist in prophylaxis cleaning of teeth.
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene.
• Charts cavities and teeth with doctor.
• Sterilizes instruments.
• Sets up/breakdown and prepares rooms for treatment/hygiene.
• Charting of patient's treatment and treatment plan with doctor.

Summary:The Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Arizona dental standards.

• Certification from a dental college OR three to six months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred

Required Certificates or Licenses:

• Arizona X-Ray certification
• Current BLS certification
• Arizona Coronal Polish certification
• Arizona Sealant certification
