Job summary

Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, MT is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the patient care team on the Medical Surgical/Ortho unit. The role requires CNA certification in Montana, BLS, and solid computer skills to document care and monitor patients.

The incumbent will assist with basic patient care, coordinate with RNs, and may take on health unit coordinator duties to ensure smooth unit operations.

Qualifications

• Current Montana CNA certification and MT CNA registry
• BLS certification for healthcare providers
• Demonstrated basic computer literacy and ability to document care

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and deliver basic patient care (toileting, bathing, linen changes, feeding support) and attend to patient needs with excellent service
• Report and record patient care findings promptly, escalating changes in condition
• Collaborate with RNs and interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care on the unit
• May perform health unit coordinator duties (phones, orders transcription, unit records, stocking)
• Maintain safety and assist with equipment, telemetry as required and document care
