Job summary

Orthopedic Surgical Partners in Avon, CT is seeking a Clinical Assistant for a full-time role. You will work closely with physicians and PAs to deliver patient-centered care in a fast-paced orthopedic practice with a multi-site footprint.

Responsibilities include patient intake, chart preparation, clinical support, and coordinating surgeries and referrals. The role requires at least 1 year of clinical experience, a valid driver’s license, and flexible scheduling including evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of clinical medical experience.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Flexible to work occasional evenings and weekends at our walk-in centers.
• Proficiency in medical terminology, medical insurance requirements (including workers' compensation), and basic computer skills.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Patient intake: room patients, collect detailed medical histories, medications, and input information into the EHR.
• Chart preparation: gather prior medical records and review notes for comprehensive patient charts.
• Clinical support: assist in preparing patients for examination and procedures.
• Orthopedic support: fit patients with braces and document for billing.
• Surgical coordination: schedule surgeries and obtain necessary clearances.
• Referral management: process referrals and update patient records.
