Job summary

Connecticut Orthopaedics is seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant to support physicians and clinical teams in Hamden, CT. Responsibilities include casting, dressing changes, rooming patients, taking intake, stocking exam rooms, and scheduling.

The role requires MA certification and 3-5 years’ experience, preferably in orthopaedics. Typical schedule Monday–Friday 7:00am–5:00pm with competitive salary, 401(k) contributions, life insurance, generous PTO, and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant credential required.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years experience as a Medical Assistant preferred, orthopaedic setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cast application and removal.
• Apply/remove wound dressings per provider preference.
• Assist with staple and suture removal.
• Assist with fitting durable medical equipment and braces and complete billing paperwork.
• Room patients and complete intake documentation.
• Draw up injections and set up ultrasound per protocol.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam room.
• Enter orders for x-ray.
• Assist with scheduling follow-up appointments.
• Support clinical workflow across clinics.
