Job summary

Security Industry Specialists in Emeryville, CA is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to deter theft and, when needed, make arrests. You will help protect customers and staff while ensuring a safe shopping environment and report to the Regional Security Retail Manager.

The role focuses on undercover surveillance, asset recovery or safe apprehensions, and compliance with laws and policies. You may testify in court and handle related duties, with possible overtime.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of loss prevention experience.
• Maintain state guard certification and client certifications as required.
• Flexible to work any shift and overtime as needed.
• Ability to deliver high level of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Conduct undercover surveillance to detect and apprehend shoplifters.
• Recover assets and/or make safe apprehensions.
• Comply with law and company policies on arrests, search and seizure, and evidence handling.
• Prepare incident reports for thefts, recoveries and related activities.
• Testify in court for criminal or civil cases.
• Perform other related duties as required.
