Job summary

McKinsey & Company is seeking a doctoral or ABD candidate for the POP Assets team in the United States. You will help develop cutting-edge assets on organizational topics, collaborate with a global knowledge network, and apply advanced analytics to drive organizational insights for clients.

You will work with mentors, publish knowledge pieces, and contribute to client-ready solutions while advancing your own leadership and technical skills in a rigorous, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• ABD status or recent graduate from a PhD/DPhil program in I-O psychology, organizational behavior, labor or behavioral economics, data science, or related field with strong research methods, ML, data engineering, AI, and stats.
• Excellent ability to complete complex research projects from literature review to data analysis and interpretation.
• Deep expertise in people analytics, survey/assessment design, organizational culture/design, decision science, leadership, or quantitative text analysis.

Responsibilities

• Asset development and innovation: create scalable solutions, assessments, and tools using research data.
• Client engagement and support: partner with senior team members to translate data insights into actionable recommendations for clients.
• Knowledge development and external publishing: author or contribute to knowledge pieces and test research questions with surveys and advanced analytics.
