Job summary

Mid-America Transplant is seeking a Hospital Services Specialist to drive organ and tissue donation at assigned hospitals in the service area. You will build strong relationships with hospital staff, coordinate donation processes, and respond as a clinical first responder for referrals and donors.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and RN experience preferred; roles involve teaching, data review, and collaborative problem solving with hospital partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• RN experience preferred or related healthcare background.
• Account Management, Hospital Case Worker, Hospital Social Worker experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with key hospital contacts including frontline staff and leaders to facilitate organ and tissue donation.
• Rounding per Hospital Services process to broaden hospital support, including off-hours and weekends.
• Collaborate with hospital staff to increase donation through process improvement and data-driven actions.
• Respond on-site to Organ Referrals and Donors; lead discussions to overcome barriers to donation.
• Assess donor suitability and manage potential donors to maximize donation opportunities.
• Review patient charts to determine donor eligibility and collect donor information from hospital documentation.
