Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support organ recovery operations across our facilities. The role requires readiness to work days, nights, holidays, weekends and on-call duties, in a fast-paced perioperative environment.

You will distribute organs, upload data, and ensure all steps of the organ recovery process comply with regulatory policies while maintaining patient safety and team collaboration.

• Performs kidney pulsatile preservation including cannulation and setup.

Job Description:

• Accurately distributes organs and/or specimens to transplant centers, labs and/or airports.
• Uploads pulsatile preservation data to the national organ sharing IT platform to facilitate timely communication with potential accepting centers.
• Ensures all aspects of the organ recovery process are performed to optimal levels in accordance with regulatory policies, and organizational procedures.
• Ensures stewardship of all donated organs and provides access to transplant programs by performing all perfusion, packaging, labeling and regulatory documentation in an expedited manner.
• Independently performs all aspects of kidney pulsatile preservation including cannulation, machine set-up and parameter adjustments, monitoring, trouble shooting and reporting requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong demonstrated operating room knowledge and skill. [Required]
