Job summary

Ralliant Corporation is seeking a Design Engineer in Chandler, AZ to sustain and improve ordnance product designs through development, qualification, production, and sustainment. The role requires a mechanical engineering background and 3+ years of relevant experience, with GD&T and SolidWorks expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (or aerospace/related discipline) is preferred.
• Typically 3+ years of relevant mechanical and/or ordnance design experience.
• Experience creating and interpreting engineering drawings and applying GD&T.
• Experience using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred; allowed other CAD).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Sustain, develop, and improve ordnance product mechanical designs from concept through their production lifecycle.
• Perform engineering analysis and create engineering documentation.
• Support prototype, qualification, production, and sustainment engineering activities.
• Provide day-to-day engineering support to Manufacturing and Quality.
• Lead root cause investigations, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain product design configuration management records, including drawings and BOMs.
• Collaborate with Integrated Product Teams across engineering disciplines.
• Support proposal efforts and technical evaluations as required.
