Job summary

ArmorWorks Enterprises Inc. in Chandler, AZ seeks a Chief Engineer to lead and create product designs for internally or externally funded R&D programs, including armor, blast attenuating seats, and other ground vehicle, aircraft, and security technologies.

Qualifications

• US Citizen is required.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, or higher.
• Over 10 years of experience in product development with 5+ years related to ArmorWorks products.
• Strong work ethic, high attention to detail, excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
• Highly proficient with SolidWorks and strong understanding of project management.
• Expert understanding of ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5 drawing & tolerance standards for design for manufacturability.
• Experience with DoD product development related to ground combat, marine, and aircraft platforms.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Over 3 years of experience with composite systems, electronics integration, signature management, & seating systems.

Responsibilities

• Managing and/or assisting with design and development of new technologies and products using SolidWorks. (30%)
• Development/Review of technical documents (Design reviews, trade studies, test plans/reports, etc.). (30%)
• Oversee the maintenance of legacy production products and standard operating procedures/processes. (20%)
• Assist with bid and proposal efforts. (20%)
