Job summary

Aerotek in Richmond, VA seeks an Order Selector to join a unionized warehouse team. You will pick orders from shelves, operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, and use an electric pallet jack to move pallets safely.

RF scanners and WMS will be used to locate, verify, and stock materials. You must be able to lift up to 65 pounds repeatedly, stand and walk most of the day, and adhere to safety procedures. Typical schedule and benefits apply as described.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of forklift experience.

• Maintain productivity standards, including the ability to lift 65 pounds multiple times within set timeframes.
• Walk and stand for the majority of the shift while moving throughout the warehouse to pick orders.
• Follow all safety procedures when operating equipment and handling materials.

Job Title: Order Selector Job Description

The Order Selector works in a mid-sized, organized warehouse as part of a team to accurately pick, move, and prepare inventory for shipment and receiving. This role involves frequent use of forklifts and electric pallet jacks, substantial walking and standing, and regular lifting of materials up to 65 pounds while meeting productivity and accuracy standards.

Work Environment

The role is based in an organized, mid-sized warehouse handling bulk materials. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, typically 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. or 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with limited, if any, overtime and the expectation to work until orders are finished. The position requires extensive walking and standing throughout the warehouse and frequent lifting of up to 65 pounds. Employees regularly operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, electric pallet jacks, RF scanners, and use warehouse management systems to manage inventory and orders. The environment follows union guidelines and emphasizes safety, orderliness, and teamwork, with appropriate work boots required for warehouse safety.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
