Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Flexo Operator for a contract-to-hire role in Georgetown, KY. You will support injection molding operations, assist with mold changes, and maintain clean, safe presses while working the 12-hour shift. The position offers pathways into leadership and maintenance tracks.

You will engage in daily audits, tool setup, and collaboration with the technical team to uphold production standards and quality. A manufacturing background is preferred.

• Perform daily process checks including mold, water lines, 5S, and equipment checks.
• Assist maintenance with daily tasks and preventive maintenance on tools/equipment.

Job description

Job Title: Flexo Operator

Join a leading manufacturer specializing in plastic containers primarily for the automotive industry, where you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless operation of production processes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the completion of material changes, option changes, and mold and version changes.


• Perform nozzle preparation, including cleaning, testing, and assembling nozzles and nozzle blocks.


• Clean presses and press areas as needed to maintain a tidy work environment.


• Participate in scheduled safety and communications meetings to ensure compliance and effective communication.


• Provide support during production, vacation coverage, and overtime changeovers.


• Fill in for Relief Operators and Production Operators as required.


• Conduct daily checks and audits of process systems, including mold pre-stage checks, water line checks, 5S audits, and Daily Equipment Checks.


• Assist technical team members with daily duties and preventive maintenance on injection molding tools and equipment.

Essential Skills

• Assembly and general production skills.


• Proficiency in inspection and machine operation.


• Ability to use a tape measure accurately.

Work Environment

Work in a non-temperature-controlled environment primarily featuring injection molding machines, which can get warm despite good airflow. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Georgetown, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 – $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
