Job summary

Aerotek in Covington, KY is seeking a Forklift Operator for a contract role at our modern dock facility. The position requires operating forklifts, loading and unloading freight, and maintaining accurate documentation and safety standards on the shift schedule.

Shifts include 1st and 3rd with 12-hour rotations; onsite work only. The role offers full benefits and weekly pay, with compensation ranging from $20.00 to $24.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Perform regular cleanup activities in the work area to maintain a safe, organized, and clean dock environment.
• Handle materials and inventory in a careful and efficient manner to minimize damage and ensure proper placement.
• Follow all safety guidelines and operational procedures while operating forklifts and other equipment.

Work Environment

This role is based in a clean, modern facility with an active dock and warehouse setting where forklifts and other material handling equipment are regularly used to move freight. Multiple shift options are available, including Sun–Wed and Wed–Sat schedules with 1st shift from 5:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., 3rd shift from 5:00 p.m. to 5 a.m. Must be okay working 12 hour shifts. The environment is fast‑paced and safety‑focused, with clear processes for freight handling, documentation, and housekeeping.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
