Job summary

Westlake Chemical in Canada is seeking an experienced Inside Sales/Customer Service professional to process and track orders received by phone, fax, EDI or mail. You will liaise with internal departments to communicate shipment and delivery schedules and respond to inquiries regarding orders, shortages, and late shipments.

You will input orders in JDE, maintain pricing and terms, ensure SOX compliance, keep accurate files, and coordinate with Sales, Traffic and supply chain to keep customers

Qualifications

• 5-7 years inside sales/customer service experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Post-secondary education in business management or equivalent field of study.
• Experience with JDE or SAP ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Accurately inputs and manages orders in JDE including prices, terms, products, quantities, and special instructions.
• Maintains pricing data, payment terms, vendor controls, and file accuracy per SOX and internal policies.
• Communicates shipment schedules and order status with customers and internal teams.
• Coordinates with Traffic, Sales and Supply Chain to keep customers updated on changes.
• Handles returns, invoice adjustments, and price change implementations in invoicing system.
• Initiates outbound calls to customers to grow weekly order file and reports competitive activity.
