Job summary

ABB in Florence, SC is seeking an Order Handling Specialist onsite to deliver customer support across orders and payments, while driving service quality and efficiency in the sales process.

You will coordinate with Sales, Logistics and Product Marketing to ensure accurate, timely delivery and resolve customer inquiries promptly, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience.
• Experience in customer support or quality management in manufacturing is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer support, including technical, order, and payment assistance.

The work model for the role is:

Onsite, Florence, SC

Your Role And Responsibilities

In this role as Order Handling Specialist, you will have the opportunity to provide customer support, including technical support, order, and payment-related assistance to achieve target levels of service quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Each day, you will implement customer support strategy to increase operational excellence and customer satisfaction in the sales process. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting achievement of established targets by overseeing progress and implementing improvement actions as needed.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Focusing on achievement of defined targets, including inventory turn on finished goods, requested on-time delivery, and Net Promoter Score.
• Processing orders by coordinating with Sales, Product Marketing, Logistics, and other internal teams to ensure that customers receive accurate and timely delivery of products.
• Acting as the first port of call for customers’ queries and orders and ensuring the resolution of customer issues.
• Supporting in after-sales service by resolving customer issues and ensuring effective and efficient customer communication by utilizing specific commercial communication tools.

Qualifications For The Role

• Bachelor degree (no minimum experience) OR Associate degree PLUS minimum 1 year of related experience OR High School diploma PLUS minimum 2 years of related experience
• Customer support or quality management experience in manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft programs, Excel, Word, Power Point, Microsoft Outlook.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written).
• Strong knowledge of ABB systems, SPINE, SAP, SOM, a plus.
• Operates in a fast-paced environment where critical decisions must be made quickly, and teamwork is essential.
• This role does not include relocation.
• Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
