Job summary

ABB is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations/Logistics leader to plan, direct, and monitor all activities in the warehouse onsite in the United States. You will manage receipt, storage, picking, and dispatch of products and services, while leading cost-control and annual budgeting initiatives.

You will partner with third‑party logistics providers, track KPIs, and drive process improvements using SAP WM/MM/PP and BI/data analysis tools. 5+ years of relevant experience is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business management or related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Warehouse Operations/Logistics.
  • Experience with SAP Warehouse Management and MM/PP modules.
  • Experience with third‑party logistics preferred.
  • Proficiency in Power BI and data analysis a plus.

This position reports to:

Planning & Fulfillment Manager

In this role, you will have the opportunity to plan, direct, and monitor all activities in the warehouse. Each day, you will develop and manage warehouse operations to effectively control the receipt, storage, picking, and dispatch of products, systems, and services to customers. You will also showcase your expertise by proposing and managing the annual warehouse budget.

The work model for the role is: Onsite

Operations & Performance Management
  • Manage third-party logistics partnerships and oversee warehouse operations to meet production line material delivery requirements
  • Track and report KPIs against contractual standards, ensuring on-time material supply and identifying performance gaps
  • Monitor third-party resource utilization and implement corrective actions for cost optimization
  • Develop, propose, and manage the annual warehouse budget; operate within approved financial parameters
  • Identify and resolve cost-related issues and implement process improvements to optimize spend
Inventory & Warehouse Optimization
  • Plan and optimize warehouse utilization and inventory levels in collaboration with third-party logistics providers
  • Lead physical inventory counts and cycle counting activities to ensure data accuracy
  • Monitor storage, delivery, and dispatch of orders; maintain accurate stock control system
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
  • Ensure system adherence and regulatory compliance in SAP and other operational systems
  • Implement lean practices and process improvements to enhance warehouse and logistics operations
  • Act as point of contact for inventory and logistics inquiries; resolve escalations proactively
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business management or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Warehouse Operations/ Logistics
  • Must have experience in SAP Warehouse Management and/or Materials Management (MM)/ Production Planning(PP) modules
  • Experience in handling third party logistics is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Query, Power BI and data analysis, preferred
  • Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

While base salary is determined by things such as the successful applicant’s qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $83,300 and $133,280 annually.
