Job summary

Whitmore in Rockwall, TX is hiring an Order Expediter to coordinate and monitor customer orders, working with Production, Planning, Procurement, and Shipping to ensure timely fulfillment. The role emphasizes identifying delays, expediting critical orders, and maintaining accurate order records while supporting continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, with preferred associate degree in related fields and experience in order management

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in related field preferred.
• Experience in order management, customer service, production planning, logistics or manufacturing operations preferred.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, inventory management, and order fulfillment workflows.
• Experience using ERP systems and Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and track customer orders through the fulfillment process to ensure timely processing, production, and shipment.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Procurement, Customer Service, and Shipping to prioritize orders and meet delivery commitments.
• Identify delays, shortages, and bottlenecks impacting order fulfillment and escalate when needed.
• Communicate with departments to resolve issues and expedite critical orders.
• Monitor inventory, production schedules, and shipment status to align with customer requirements.
• Maintain up-to-date order records in company systems and provide timely updates to stakeholders.
• Order containers and raw materials from off-site warehouses to keep production supplied.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve order processing efficiency and workflows.
• Escalate unresolved issues or potential delivery risks to leadership.
• Analyze order fulfillment trends and identify opportunities for process improvements.
