Job summary

SWD Inc. is seeking a full-time Order Entry Specialist to join our Addison, IL team. You will interpret and enter purchase orders, generate shop orders, and maintain accurate records in our ERP system, while ensuring timely communication with customers.

The role requires strong English writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The position offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of customer service or office experience
• Manufacturing experience is a plus
• Excellent reading and writing skills in English, in addition to basic math skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines
• Capability to identify and resolve issues through analytical thinking
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Responsibilities

• Interpret and enter all incoming purchase orders into the computer system
• Generate and distribute shop orders
• File original purchase orders
• Contact customer for weight or process differences
• Issue and distribute hot list at the end of each day
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Practice safe work habits, following outlined policies and procedure.
• Reviewing and comprehending Shop Orders
• Be aware of SWD Inc. Company's policy and procedures, including the quality system as defined by ISO-9001, ISO-14001, and ISO-17025 and outlined in the SWD Inc.'s quality, environmental and laboratory systems policy, and procedure manuals
