Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an Order Entry Specialist for an onsite role in Addison, IL. The position centers on accurately entering customer orders into ERP, maintaining records, generating shipping docs, and supporting purchasing and invoicing activities.

The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, 2+ years in order entry or related roles, and comfort with ERP systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Standard hours: Mon–Fri, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in order entry, customer order processing, sales support, purchasing support, data entry, or a related administrative role.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable learning new systems and processes.
• Experience working within ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Enter customer orders accurately and efficiently as the primary responsibility of the role.
• Review order information for completeness, accuracy, pricing, and delivery requirements.
• Input and maintain data within the Epicor ERP system.
• Generate bills of lading and other shipping documentation.
• Create, update, and maintain purchase orders.
• Coordinate with vendors to obtain pricing and order status updates.
• Match purchase orders to packing slips and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and process customer invoices accurately and on time.
• Assist with follow-up on outstanding customer payments and delinquent accounts.
• Communicate with internal teams regarding order status, inventory needs, and customer requirements.
• Provide general administrative and office support as needed.
