Job summary

The role emphasizes order lifecycle management, proactive communication, and collaboration with Sales and Branch teams to coordinate pricing and product sourcing. Working hours are Monday–Friday in an on-site setting with potential commissions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of customer service or inside sales experience.
• Completion of Acme University 100 series trainings.
• Experience with ERP systems (Eclipse preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office such as Outlook and Excel.
• Familiarity with construction supply products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accurately enter and manage sales orders from initiation to completion, maintaining high attention to detail.
• Maintain Inside Sales queues daily, including Trouble, Remote Order Entry, Will Call, Invoice Preview, and Open Order Status Review.
• Proactively communicate with customers regarding delays, issues, and backorders; provide bi-weekly updates on will call orders.
• Complete all documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
• Use tools such as Eclipse, Revalgo, vendor catalogs, and industry websites to support order processing and product sourcing.
• Coordinate pricing on bids over $2,000 with Outside Sales or Branch Management.
• Deliver service in alignment with the Customer Partnership Program; maintain high call score.
• Anticipate customer needs, resolve issues, and provide personalized service beyond expectations.
• Collect and verify complete customer information, including contact and delivery details.
• Assist customers with product selection by active listening and thoughtful questioning.
• Respond promptly to inquiries and direct them to relevant Acme services when needed.
• Communicate and understand Core Services at Acme (AIMS, Rental, Fabrication, Technical Sales, Kitting).
• Meet or exceed SOPs related to POD response time (if applicable).
• Greet and assist customers with professionalism and a positive attitude.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance reflecting Acme’s standards.
• Ensure workspace is clean, organized, and safe for efficiency.
• Manage multiple interactions while upholding quality.
• Build strong relationships with customers, coworkers, and vendors.
• Address concerns and report to Branch Manager as needed.
• Support warehouse operations as needed.
