Job summary

Dell Round Rock is seeking an Oracle Database Automation Engineer to design and build enterprise-grade automation for Oracle DB infrastructure. You will collaborate with database engineers to architect, standardize, and manage highly available database platforms in Round Rock, Texas.

You will design scalable AI-driven automation, implement rigorous testing and safety guardrails, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines and tooling to ensure secure, resilient deployments across environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Oracle database tech experience (RAC, ASM, DataGuard).
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code across the full server lifecycle with Ansible.
• Deep Linux system administration and scripting in Bash, Python, SQL.
• Experience designing and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Artifactory usage.
• Ability to work in a Git-disciplined workflow with clear commits and MR reviews.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable automation for Oracle Database services.
• Collaborate with database engineers to ensure highly available, secure, scalable, resilient DB platforms.
• Develop agentic AI frameworks for reasoning, planning, and autonomous tool use.
• Establish testing, tracing, evaluation suites, and safety guardrails for production actions.
