Job summary

Huntington National Bank is seeking an Oracle Database Engineer to join our onsite corporate IT team. You will troubleshoot issues, automate database tasks, and drive performance with a focus on high availability.

You will collaborate across Development, Operations and security teams to implement new DBMS features, perform upgrades, and maintain robust Oracle environments. The role requires strong SQL skills andUnix scripting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
• 3-5+ years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver automation and scripting of Oracle database activities and admin projects.
• Ensure optimal performance and high availability of database systems and services while meeting or exceeding SLAs.
• Collaborate with Development, Operations and non-technical stakeholders across teams.
• Provide technical leadership for large/complex business efforts.
• Lead Oracle DBMS efficiency practices, focusing on optimal utilization.
