Job summary

Oracle is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Automation Engineer to design and implement enterprise-grade automation for our database infrastructure in Round Rock, Texas.

You will collaborate with database engineers to standardize highly available, secure, scalable platforms and to build scalable agentic AI-oriented automation for Oracle Database services. This role requires deep Linux administration, Ansible expertise, and strong scripting skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Oracle database technologies (RAC, ASM, DataGuard).
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code across the full server lifecycle with Ansible and secret management.
• Deep Linux system administration experience with scripting in Bash, Python and SQL.
• Hands-on GitLab CI/CD pipelines and multi-project Mono-repos with templates.
• Familiarity with Spec Driven Development, MCP integration, and multi-agent coordination.
• Ability to maintain a Git-disciplined workflow with clear commit messages.

What you’ll achieve

As an Oracle Database Automation Engineer, you will design & build next generation enterprise-grade automation at scale for Dell database infrastructure. You will collaborate with database engineers to architect, standardize & manage highly available, secure, scalable, resilient global database platforms.

You will

Design and deliver scalable agentic AI frameworks capable of reasoning, planning, multi-step execution, execute diagnostics and autonomous tool use tailored for Oracle Database services

Establish rigorous testing, tracing, evaluation suites, and safety guardrails (human-in-the-loop escalation paths) to monitor autonomous actions in production.

Essential Requirements

• -5+ years of experience with Oracle database technologies (RAC, ASM, DataGuard)
• -Demonstrated ability to implement Infrastructure as Code across the full server lifecycle — OS hardening, storage provisioning via REST APIs, credential injection and fleet-wide configuration enforcement — all driven by version-controlled Ansible with no hardcoded secrets
• -Deep expertise in Linux system administration (kernel tuning, storage management, sudoers policy), strong proficiency in Ansible (playbooks, roles, Jinja2 templating, dynamic task dispatch) orchestrated through Ansible, and solid scripting skills in Bash, Python, and SQL. Hands-on experience designing and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines — including shared pipeline templates, multi-stage deployments, and artifact management via JFrog Artifactory
• -Proficiency building reusable CI/CD templates in GitLab CI for multi-project mono-repos, including linting, syntax validation, integration testing, and promotion workflows across production environments
• - Well versed with Spec Driven Development, tool calling, context management, Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration, multi-agent coordination & policy enforcement.
• -Ability to work within a Git-disciplined workflow — feature branching, merge requests targeting develop , traceable commit messages, and collaborative code review

Desirable Requirements

• Experience with Oracle 26ai Graph, Oracle AI Vector Search
• Contribution to Open source projects, published papers
• Experience with secrets management platforms (HashiCorp Vault, CyberArk) and secure credential delivery
