Job summary

Oracle is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Automation Engineer to design and implement enterprise-grade automation for our database infrastructure in Round Rock, Texas.

You will collaborate with database engineers to standardize highly available, secure, scalable platforms and to build scalable agentic AI-oriented automation for Oracle Database services. This role requires deep Linux administration, Ansible expertise, and strong scripting skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Oracle database technologies (RAC, ASM, DataGuard).
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code across the full server lifecycle with Ansible and secret management.
• Deep Linux system administration experience with scripting in Bash, Python and SQL.
• Hands-on GitLab CI/CD pipelines and multi-project Mono-repos with templates.
• Familiarity with Spec Driven Development, MCP integration, and multi-agent coordination.
• Ability to maintain a Git-disciplined workflow with clear commit messages.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable automation for Oracle database services at scale.
• Collaborate with database engineers to standardize highly available platforms.
• Develop and enforce automated testing, tracing, and safety guardrails.
• Create reusable CI/CD templates and deployment strategies for production environments.
