Swift is seeking an Oracle DevOps Engineer to join the Database Platform team in Virginia. The role focuses on automating Oracle database administration, building reliable automation, and improving platform reliability through DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years in a systems engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, or database engineering role.
• Experience developing automation using Ansible.
• Programming or scripting experience with Python, Shell scripting, or similar technologies.
• Experience working in Linux environments.
• Familiarity with source control systems such as Git and collaborative development practices.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions for Oracle database administration and platform operations.
• Write and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and automation workflows.
• Develop Python and shell scripts to automate operational tasks, reporting, monitoring, and remediation activities.
• Analyze recurring operational issues and transform manual procedures into reliable, reusable automation.
• Support Oracle database platforms, including installation, configuration, patching, health checks, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with DBAs, infrastructure teams, and application teams to deliver scalable platform solutions.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
• Participate in problem management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
