Job summary

Western Alliance Bank seeks a Principal Engineer I - Oracle Lead to provide SME expertise in Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle Cloud EPM, guide complex designs, and mentor junior engineers. You will collaborate with business partners, developers, and analytics teams to define and deliver effective banking solutions.

You will drive architecture, ensure compliance, and support upgrades while supervising cross-functional teams across IT and operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Masters or MBA preferred.
• 8+ years of experience with Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle Cloud EPM.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of banking regulatory obligations and industry standards.
• Strong cross-functional leadership across IT and business teams.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design solution architectures that can be handed to junior engineers for execution.
• Review designs to ensure scalable, high-quality outcomes.
• Create dashboards to measure performance of key banking apps.
• Document system architectures, data flows, and use-case models.
• Lead with business partners, developers, and analysts to deliver effective solutions.
• Troubleshoot issues during delivery and upgrades with IT teams.
