Job summary

Western Alliance Bancorporation seeks a Principal Engineer I to lead Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle Cloud EPM initiatives. You will partner with sponsors, architects, and engineers across IT and business units to design secure, scalable banking solutions. Mentorship, governance, and strong communication are essential.

You will guide architecture, oversee implementation, and ensure alignment with regulatory standards while advancing the bank's technology capabilities and data initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with Oracle Cloud ERP and Oracle Cloud EPM
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
• Leadership experience in cross-functional banking projects
• Strong knowledge of Financial Services regulations and governance
• Experience with modern cloud architectures and IT security controls
• Familiarity with BI tools (Tableau/Power BI) and reporting frameworks
• Hands-on development or implementation experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Define and lead Oracle Cloud ERP/EPM design efforts
• Mentor junior engineers and drive technical excellence
• Collaborate with sponsors, architects, and developers to deliver solutions
• Develop architecture, data, and process documentation
• Support deployment, upgrades, and issue resolution with IT teams
• Ensure compliance with governance and regulatory requirements
