Job summary

RegEd, a leading RegTech solutions provider, seeks a Database Administrator to own and optimize our on-premise and cloud data environments. You will monitor performance, ensure security, and support ongoing resilience across multiple teams.

The role requires 3+ years of DBA experience, strong MS SQL Server and T-SQL skills, backup/recovery expertise, and familiarity with Azure SQL. We offer remote or hybrid work and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of database administration, development, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher.
• Strong T-SQL skills including complex queries, stored procedures, transaction management, error handling, and dynamic SQL.
• Knowledge of database backup, recovery, and high availability concepts.
• Familiarity with Azure SQL services (Azure SQL MI/DB/VM).
• Experience with database security administration and access controls.
• Ability to build and maintain SQL scripts and complex queries.
• Understanding of OLTP database structures and practices.
• Familiarity with monitoring/dashboard tools (SSMS, Grafana).
• Experience with SSIS and SSRS.

Responsibilities

• Design, create, and maintain database objects including indexes, views, stored procedures, tables, and other schema elements in on-premise and cloud environments.
• Monitor and maintain database health by reviewing backups, maintenance jobs, index health, and daily alerts.
• Manage database users, roles, and access privileges; support security requirements.
• Verify backup success and support restore testing.
• Investigate and resolve database incidents including deadlocks and performance issues.
• Refresh development and test databases to support QA and development teams.
• Build and maintain database monitoring infrastructure for alerting and operational visibility.
• Work with Architecture to implement database changes and enforce coding standards.
• Conduct feasibility studies and effort estimates for new or revised database systems.
• Install, upgrade, and maintain database instances for development, testing, and production.
• Collaborate with QA, App Development, and Infra teams on database configurations.
• Partner with multiple departments to implement and maintain database code.
