RegEd is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to own and maintain our SQL Server environments in a primarily remote/hybrid setup. You will monitor backups, optimize queries, and implement security controls across on-premises and cloud deployments, ensuring high availability and regulatory compliance.

The role requires 3+ years in DBA work, strong T-SQL, and experience with SSIS/SSRS, Grafana, and cloud Azure SQL services. RegEd offers a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Formación

• 3+ years of database administration, development, or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher.
• Strong T-SQL skills including complex queries, stored procedures, transaction management, error handling, and dynamic SQL.
• Working knowledge of database backup, recovery, and HADR concepts.
• Familiarity with cloud database services in Azure such as Azure SQL MI, Azure SQL DB, or Azure SQL on VMs.
• Experience with database security administration such as user management, role assignment, and access controls.
• Ability to build and maintain SQL scripts, indexes, and complex queries for data analysis and operational use.
• Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices for OLTP environments.
• Commitment to quality and accuracy.
• Familiarity with database monitoring and dashboard tools such as SSMS, Grafana, or similar platforms.
• Experience with SSIS or other ETL tooling.
• Experience with SSRS or other managed reporting platforms.
• Familiarity with other database platforms such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.

Responsabilidades

• Provide operational and application database services; own, track, and resolve database incidents and requests.
• Monitor and maintain database health via backups, maintenance jobs, and index management.
• Support performance and security requirements; respond to alerts and escalations.
• Collaborate with Architecture and other teams on database changes and best practices.
• Build and maintain database objects like indexes, views, stored procedures, and tables.
• Refresh development and test databases to support QA and development.
• Develop and maintain database monitoring infrastructure for alerts and metrics.
• Assist in deployments and ensure coding standards for stored procedures and schemas.
