Job summary

Great Bend Hospital is seeking an OR Tech to support the perioperative care team. The role includes assisting with patient care, maintaining the sterile field, transporting patients, restocking supplies and setting up equipment in the Operating Room and PACU.

The position requires completion of a nurse assistant program, CN A certification for KS/MO and BLS certification within two weeks of hire. Part-time hours apply with equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• Must have BLS or BCLS certification as required by AHA within two weeks of employment.
• Certified Nurse Aide/Assistant (CNA) certification as recognized by KS, MO, and other states.
• Successful completion of a nurse assistant training program.

Responsibilities

• Maintains sterile field and assists perioperative care team.
• Transports and positions patients safely with proper body mechanics.
• Keeps OR and related areas clean and stocked with supplies.
• Gathers and sets up equipment and handles routine maintenance tasks.
• Participates in department quality improvement projects.
