Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sterile field and operating room practices.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within first two weeks of employment.
• Successful completion of a nurse assistant training program.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of sterile field.
• Assists with transporting and positioning patients safely.
• Maintains environmental cleanliness of operating rooms and ancillary areas.
• Sets up equipment and gathers supplies.
• Performs equipment maintenance and reports issues.
• Participates in department quality improvement projects.
